Information on the competition for CNRS research position openings of 2012:

The 2012 competition for CNRS research position openings is ongoing (the deadline for applications was the 5th January 2012). The openings and relevant information can be consulted at a dedicated site.

For the section 03, this competition consists of the following steps:

30 January 2012Eligibility to compete (validation of equivalences of degrees)
13-14 February 2012Meeting of the committee for the preselection of CR ("chargé de recherche") candidates for oral presentations and interviews
5-10 March 2012Oral presentations (15 minutes) and interviews (15 minutes) of the preselected CR candidates (in Strasbourg, see practical information)
19-23 March 2012Meeting of the committee for the selection of the admitted candidates for the CR and DR openings (short list)
29 May 2012Meeting of a committee for the final selection DR
14 June 2012Meeting of a committee for the final selection CR

We draw the attention of candidates who are interested in openings at the level "Charge de Recherche 1" (CR1) to the fact that it is possible to apply to such positions only 3 times (or 4 times if the candidate has been short-listed two times in previous competitions, as described above). Every application submitted by the candidates will be counted as valid application, except if the candidates withdraw their application 3 days before the date of the 1st meeting of the committee for the preselection of applications. If the candidate is not selected by this jury for an oral presentation, the application will still be counted in the total number of valid applications.
